“The Law of Nations”

or

International Law

Apply the what we know of our mundane governments to what we know of the relations of religions and all of the gods and pantheons of the world’s history as though they were humans inhabiting our mundane world as humanity has.

Can you categorize and identify where the adherents of these religions, deities and their collective actions fall in relation to the human concepts of natural justice? International Law? Diplomacy? Dictatorships? Ambassadors? Theocracies, democracies and monarchies? How nations interact with each other is often notably associated with individual political figures and  particular negotiations or the extreme opposite where treaties fail and a war between nations ensue. Are the followers’ of various religions and their gods exempt from being held accountable? Why?

  1. Kingdoms Fall and Kingdoms Rise: New religions are like new kingdoms, being born from the remnants of older ones, which in turn were born from older ones just as children are born to their parents and they to theirs. The birthing process could have been found through the medium of proselytism, war, or influential messengers. Without anyone to learn from the young can become victims of stronger and smarter opposition like so many of the religions that have been destroyed like a candle in the face a blazing fire being consumed as fuel. Many of the ancient religions thought to have been dead have shown immense growth in modern times as so-called revivalist polytheistic or pagan religions and a significant indicator of these are how they began adopting concepts and creeds, patterns or methods of more famous as well as infamous religions. Much like the new nations adopting older concepts with new names.
  2. Theological & Religious Dormancy: Due to the pagan diapause, the stagnant or dormant period in which no action is taken as if in hibernation created by adverse conditions, the core of all pagan religions have lost definition. Though, their has been a rebirth of pagan or non Judeo-Christian religions on a massive scale which created an explosion in declarations, doctrines, articles of faith, creeds and statements. But this isn’t enough to bring these religions back to life and out of their dormant state.
  3. Lacking the Catalyst to Reemerge: Sadly enough, many of these organizations were short-lived. One would surface only to sink once again into obscurity. Why did so many of these have such short life spans? How have Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Taoism, and other world religions survived so long and through so much turmoil? and they did not understand the difference between the practice and the belief thl
  4. Names and Words are not Titles and Actions: Despite the fact thatSlowly the term pagan became a very general and vague concept. If someone were to ask you what you were wearing so that they identify you when meeting for the first time and your response was simply “Clothes”, then they would have great difficulty in identifying who you are.
  5. Similarities and Differences: And so it is with New Age, paganism. Pagan or Wiccan is such a general term, though not a negative one, as to require clarification of tradition, path, degree, and Pantheon even among other pagans.
  6. The Individual is not the Faith: People will simply not comprehend the personal eclectic nature of what it means and this is very unfortunate considering the rich nature of such belief systems and the heritage that made them so legendary and powerful.
  7. Faith is not the Individual; The Person is not a Kingdom, nor a Religion: Solitary practitioner? The concept of individualism as the basis for pagan religion will forever inhibit the creation of a stable enough foundation on which to build a long lasting faith.
  8. Individuality and Schisms, The Cause of Chaos?: The concept of eclecticism gives the people the ability to pick and choose faith as they wish instead of seeing the whole of faith.
  9. Finding the Catalyst: A redetermination of these methods being used to promote religion is needed because on this current path, in the face of the ways of the monolithic religions, we will all die and the continuous chaos tears away at the fabric of what it is that to be a whole. To accept a person for, or deny them, initiation takes away from what it is to be human. We are doomed to fail if we hold ourselves to such fantastical standards.
